In the event of updating this site it occured to me how boring it really was! People, I am so sorry! I can tell you why you should hire a planner and I will, in a bit. First I would like to share with you what a great season I had because of the clients and vendors that I worked with this 2008 season. To all of my couples as well as their parents, wedding parties and vendors....Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!
It is hard for me to choose my favorite couple this season because you were all so unique, you all brought new ideas to the table for me as well. Best of all I made some great friends along the way.
What in the world made these couples decide that they needed the help of Simply Elegant? I heard several differnt ideas before as well as after. Maybe their thoughts will help you understand why it helps to hire a Professional Bridal Consultant.
Before:
"My family is out of town and I do not want my Mom to have to stress out about the things that she can not make happen when she lives in an entirely different state. I really just want the help of someone to make sure that I stay on track as well as remain calm throughout everything."
After:
"I have told everyone how helpful you have been, even people that I do not know! There is no way that I could have planned this wedding and gone through with everything without your help. You made everything come to life. I do not think that I have ever been to a better wedding! Thank you!"
Before:
"We are from out of town and are really not sure of where to find the good vendors or where we are suppossed to pick up our license. Can you help us?"
After:
"Thank you for your help with the vendors, your information really helped us!"
Before:
"I already have my vendors, I really just want to make sure that my mom and I do not have to stress out about anything. Can you be there the day of to make sure that everything is taken care of?"
After:
"Thank you for your help! You helped manage the day so that we could enjoy ourselves, we really appreciate it!"
Before:
" I need someone to help me stay on top of things. I have a busy life and my fiance travels for a living which can make this planning a little crazier. I need to make sure that I remain organized and basically keep me on the right track all the way to the end."
After:
" You can not believe how many people commented on how beautiful you made everything! There is no way that I could have gotton through this without you. I have told everyone that I know how great your services are! I don't know how people plan weddings without your help! Thank you!"
Before:
"I just need your help with decorations, do you do that?"
After:
" I can not believe that I thought I only needed you for decorations. I do not know what my mom and I would have done if we had to do everything without you?! You made everything turn out the way that I pictured it, thank you!"
These are just a few of my favorites. I did not include names as they do not know that I was going to putting their words up for everyone to read. If these are not enough reasons here are a few in my own words: planning a wedding will become stressful period! It is fine to have your mom, his mom, your aunts, grand ma's, siblings, cousins and friends help you, but remeber too many cooks in the kitchen spoils the dinner! Plus you have to see these people again. A zilla is created from stress that is created because you do not want to hurt anybody's feelings but yet you also want things done your way. A planner can help with this. These people can still be a part of the process but we can make it happen smoother by mediating if needed.
With the economy the way it is today we all need help saving money and making the hard earned dollar stretch so let me show you how to do this. You might have an idea as to how to do this by buying things on sale or at the dollar store (which these are great ideas) but I can show you even more reasonable ways. One of my clients was telling her friend about me and her friend said that she could never afford me (not even knowing what I charge) and my bride told her that she could not afford not to hire me and went on to tell her how much money I saved her which was way more than my fees! Don't assume you can not afford me.
I could go on and on but I wont. Bottom line: a consultant is more than just a planner, we are the organizers, decorators, shoppers, arrand runners, friend, communicator, the glue that holds everything together for you.
