July 8, 2009...really?! I write these when I get the moment and I always write a new after I read the previous one and I can not believe how much time flies between each one. As I mentioned before, 2009 has been all about getting things locked in for the future. I am excited to see all of my hard work paying off for the community as well as for SE. For those of you that have not checked out www.lotowa.com I really recomend it! This association that I helped to form this spring is a great asset to the community as well as for the wedding industry at the lake. We seem to be growing at each meeting so make sure to check out the site regularly to keep up with it!
2009 at the lake has opened the doors to several new venues at the lake. I can't speak of them yet but I promise you, the minute I get the green light to do so I will be sharing with all of you. The lake is on its way to the top for destination weddings. I am predicting that this time next year the lake will be the 3rd most popular location in Missouri to get married. I am going to work hard to see that this happens. Mark your calendars for 2 important dates to get this started: September 20, 2009 and October 12, 2009.

September 20 there will be a  wedding fashion show/luncheon/auction/sample sale at 7 Springs Winery. All of these details are getting hashed out this Sunday so make sure that you check this site Monday for the details.

October 12, 2009 will be the bridal stroll. We took the concept of the ever popular pub crawl and married it with  a bridal show. There will lbe shuttles to take you to each participating vendor as well as venue that the lake area has to offer. You will get tours, samples and information at each location as well as a Professional Bridal Consultant on each shuttle to help with any questions that you may have. I am really excited about this one. I have been thinking about this for about 2 years now and have finally had the courage to try it so make sure that you check for updates as well as register for any information that is coming up!

I will be posting pictures of the June 27th wedding that I did at Porto Cima as soon as I get them from the photographer and keep an eye out for the July 25th firefighter wedding as well!
